Happy Monday, Moxies! Ok, well it is Monday, so maybe not so quite chipper. Since this is our first mood board post, I guess we’ll begin calling it Moody Mondays and we’ll try to make this Monday mood board post a regular thing. We’ll see out it goes. It’s kind of like getting kids out the door on a Monday morning; hope for the best and prepare for the worst!
Here it is! I put this together using Olioboard. It’s a free service and makes arranging everything pretty easy. For those of you who know me (Megan) my style definitely tends to lean more towards mid-century modern. I wanted to create a living space with a mid-century influence, but nothing over the top, or unachievable for the average homeowner. I used a great side chair from Thrive and then built pieces off of that. My goal for the space was to be warm and use a lot of materials and textures….hardwood floor, wool rug, stone influences and mixed metals. It’s casual, but still a little bit fun. I hope you like it as much as I liked putting it together. I also look forward to exploring other styles, patterns, and colors. Out of the gate I wanted to go with something that feels good and natural to me, and then we’ll branch out and see what happens. I’m also looking forward to seeing what Holly and Lindsay come up with as well, as each of us have very different styles too.

Love the combinations of textures and the color palette is gorgeous!
Mid century design is so retro and yet classic at the same time. Love it!
Thanks Veronica, I absolutely love it too. It takes a little bit more time to pull your home design together because you really have to search out those authentic mid modern pieces, but I think it’s worth it in the long run! Megan @ Moxie
I’m such a fan of mid century modern furniture. that credenza is amazing!
Thanks, Lindsay. I’ve got a 60’s record player painted lime green in my living room. I’m pretty sure my husband thought I was crazy, but now it’s one of our favorite pieces. Now, just need to find another for our basement living room 🙂
Very sleek and clean looking!!
Thanks for linking up! Love the colors!
