Thanksgiving is a holiday that is easily forgotten and overlooked. Stores are all decked out for Christmas and more and more people are going to be shopping on Thanksgiving and not celebrating it. I personally hope that I am always filling my belly with delicious turkey, pumpkin pie and mash potatoes surrounded by family.
This Fab Friday I thought I would share some SIMPLE ideas to make your Thanksgiving a little more festive.
This idea for Thanksgiving is clever. Have some note cards for your guests to write what they are thankful for when they come in. Then use them as decor like Hostess with the Mostess did. There is a lot of other beautiful ideas. Go check it out!
Adding some apples to your decor is a great way to add that fall feeling without spending a lot. I like this idea by Dreamy Whites to turn them into candles. She floated hers in a beautiful bowl. Love it!
If you are looking to keep it even more simple, put apples in a glass cylinder. This one is at Hostess with the Mostess again. I love the way she used several different sizes of cylinders filled with things you can find at your local grocery store. Beautiful!
Making place cards can be a fun way to change up a normal family gathering especially if you have a big family. It could be fun to split everyone up so you talk to people you haven’t in awhile. I like this idea by Griff Anie to use a pinecone.
Send everyone home with some of those goodies or leftovers that you don’t want to keep at your house. You can attach a simple tag to just about any type of bag. Click here or on one of the images for a free printable from Moxie. Just print and cut them out then punch a hole for some string. You could always skip the hole and string and staple them to a simple lunch sack.

Happy Thanksgiving Moxies!
